Giuseppe Casciaro. Pastel on paper "the nostalgia of the Via Appia" signed lower right G.Casciaro. Italian school. 39 X 28 cm at sight (80 X 68.5 cm overall). Giuseppe Casciaro was born in Puglia (Ortella) in 1863 and died in Naples in 1941. Student of Domenico Morelli (1823-1901) and Filippo Palizzi (1818-1899) at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples. He learned the art of Pastel with Francesco Paolo Michetti (1851-1929). He won a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900. The Museum of Munich (Germany) preserves his works. Unframed. Some wear. Good general condition. 990 euros.
