Date: Provenance: From a private London collection signed and dated '1840' lower left-hand side.

Overall measurements including the frame are 87cm x 68.6cm x 7.5cm and the painting itself measuring 57cm x 48cm measured at sight.

Condition report:

Overall in very good, restored condition. The painting has undergone some restoration in its history and has also been lined and cleaned, most likely within the last 30 years.

The canvas is in good tension, and the paint surface is stable. There are areas of craquelure commensurate with its age . The paint surface is stable.
