This is a large, very finely executed oil on canvas depicting a man posing in a dark suit in front of a column and carrying a cigar in his left hand.
The painter was able to capture in this portrait all the physiognomy and character of this man, apparently self-confident and in full social success: perhaps a businessman, a composer, a notable??? François Mitterrand?
