Parisian Chest Of Drawers, île De France In Walnut From The 18th Century

Ile de France chest of drawers also known as Parisian chest of drawers from the mid-18th century, curved in walnut.
A beautiful curved chest of drawers opening with 5 drawers on the front.
It therefore has a curved front.
The two upper drawers open with pull keys and conceal a smaller secret drawer in the middle.
The two lower drawers open with bronze pull handles with lock and keys.
The drawers have been revised and slide perfectly. The bronzes are original and only the keyhole on the secret drawer has been changed.
The bronzes have been cleaned.
The locks and keys work.
The drawers are carved with gendarme hats and quatrefoil motifs in the middle.
The legs are straight, always in the Louis XIV style. The lower crosspiece is animated.
The sides are carved with flat-banded panels with a gendarme hat decoration.
The rear legs are straight in oak as are the bottoms, the drawer interiors and the backs of the furniture.
There are small grafts of feet on the rear feet as well as some grafts in walnut in fronts for a maintenance restoration visible on the photos.
a preventive xylophene treatment of the entire piece of furniture was carried out in the workshop. the marble is not original probably it is a beautiful old gray sainte Anne marble changed perhaps in the 19th century but perfectly matching this chest of drawers.
