The princess dressed in beautiful clothes wearing a three-strand pearl necklace, is lying on a ceremonial bed; a prince wearing a large cape and a quiver lifts the canopy of the bed with his outstretched arm.
Deep and very fine engraving on wood grain, most likely pear wood (very dense and hard wood allowing fine details).
Similar to the engravings by Gustave Doré for Hetzel editions in 1880.
