Enigmatic Naive Triptych Around The Christmas Party

Large oil on canvas composed of different scenes around Christmas: top left, the family around the tree - below the festive meal - in the center, the midnight mass with above the haloed baby Jesus - in the foreground an elegant woman in a fur jacket holds a child by the hand, next to it, seated on the maches of the church another woman breastfeeds a child, stretching out a hand as if to beg - to the right in a dark and snowy street, a couple old man walks away followed by a small dog. In addition to these small scenes, a multitude of details attract attention: the child who hides under a bed, the little girl all in white who holds her doll, the dog and his rosary ... of sausages, the grandfather and his basket of alcohols and many others.
This painting comes from the workshop of a painter-sculptor - Jules Récubert (1874 born in Barjols Var -1949) - while it does not seem from his hand, a gift between artist?
