19th Century Bronze, "the Dog And The Child"
19th century bronze depicting a dog that has just killed a snake. A child, asleep (or bitten by the snake), rests against its side. This composition with a medal patina and beautiful casting quality is very expressive and emotional. Traces of a signature and a number (23). Bronze attributed to James PRADIER (1790-1852).
