Paris Porcelain Teapot Circa 1810–1820
Porcelain teapot is made in a classical style and decorated with a vivid painting depicting a sumptuous bouquet of flowers in a silver vase placed on a red tablecloth. The composition is framed by an octagonal gilt border, repeated on both sides of the body of the teapot. The surface of the teapot as well as the spout are decorated with fine gilt motifs in the form of garlands and foliage. The lid is decorated with a wreath of gilt branches and topped with a gilt knob, but has a chip on the rim.
Attributed to the Darté Frères factory, Paris. Porcelain, hand-painted decoration, gilding.
Dimensions: height - 15.5 cm, diameter (without handle) - 10.5 cm.
Good condition, the lid has a missing piece and cracks in the glaze.
