"Silver Warmer, Den Haag (netherlands) 1758 By Silversmith Marcelis De Haan"
Rare table warmer composed of an openwork structure resting on four arched legs with opposing volutes, decorated with openwork decorations in a rocaille style. It is accompanied by its original removable dish warmer, fitted with a lid connected by a silver link chain. The body of the dish warmer fits perfectly into the central base of the structure, designed to ensure stable and functional heat diffusion.
The object has a complete series of Dutch hallmarks:
– hallmark of the city of The Hague (Den Haag),
– date letter “M” corresponding to the year 1758,
– silver guarantee hallmark,
– hallmark of the silversmith Marcelis de Haan, active from 1745 to 1767.
