Sequence Of Cind Dodecahedra
Artist: Jean Marie Malzieux (1948)
A set of five painted wooden dodecahedrons imitating marble, on which are glued 17th century engravings on the theme of ancient deities. This contemporary work blends very well with a classical decor, while giving us the freedom of its arrangement. This inspiration from Roman dodecahedrons from the 11th to the 14th century AD is still shrouded in mystery. Astronomical tool? Religious? Game? In any case, this nod to our times is as much a beautiful decorative object as a topic of discussion.
