Moustiers plain fire earthenware, 18th cty
Nice round plate with monochrome blue decoration of a young Chinese man on a mound, sitting cross-legged and surrounded by a rich plant decoration typical of this production.
Very nice quality of very precise drawing, and superb milky and shiny enamel bringing out the decoration of a powerful blue, with shadow effects treated in a grayer blue.
Dimensions:
21.5cm diameter
