Important Empire clock in red griotte marble and gilt bronze representing "Cupid and Psyche" in bronze with brown patina. The dial is signed H.LARESCHE (Henry) Palais Royal in Paris. Wire movement in perfect working order, and original key. The Palais Royal was one of the Parisian high places of watchmaking from 1780 until 1850. Henry Laresche was an active watchmaker between 1805 and 1815 at the Palais Royal in the Uffizi Gallery. Excellent condition.
