"Shagreen Box 1930"
Rectangular shagreen box from the 1930s. The lid, decorated with cut sides, is adorned with a thin ivory fillet. The interior is veneered with mahogany. Good condition, note some wear (black stain) on the lid and a slight vertical crack. Shagreen leather is a material made from the skin of sharks or rays.
