Chiseled and gilded bronze.
This pair of large neo-Gothic style crooked scrolls were designed and used to support hangings. A pole (dressed in crimson velvet for example), caught in the tube and held to the wall, held the crooks at height.
A hook was used to hang the hanging cords.
Condition:
Excellent condition, gilding redone.

Crook: height: 38 cm, overhang: 33 cm, base diameter: 3.5 cm. Tube: 17 cm. Total height: 55 cm.
