A medium-sized, gilded bronze stair landing knob with a very slightly ovoid shape, entirely decorated with an interlocking scale motif punctuated by circular reliefs.

Decorative piece in the Neo-Renaissance style, characteristic of the second half of the 19th century, probably dating from around 1860–1880.

Condition: As found; in good condition, with a beautiful antique patina and well-defined relief; shows slight wear from use and age.
