"Rosewood Weekly Secretary, Napoleon III Period – Mid-19th Century"
Napoleon III period piece of furniture in rosewood and thuya burl interior, composed in the upper part of a flap simulating 3 drawers and four drawers of the same dimensions in the lower part. The drawers are slightly curved on the front and highlighted by raised moldings. Each drawer is fitted with fillet entries and original locks accompanied by their key, in working order. Opening the flap reveals a tabernacle in thuya burl, composed of two niches and three drawers with thuya front and rosewood knobs. The flap is darkened with black leather in used condition, enriched with a gilded vignette. The feet of this secretary are rounded, its sides are animated and it rests on a projecting base. *********Period: Mid 19th centuryExcellent interior and exterior condition. Restored in our workshop.
