This mahogany piece of furniture includes two boxes with 3 drawers of different heights in the lower part. These 6 drawers, 4 of which have original locks with threaded entries and fitted keys, are fitted with round brass cup knobs. The leg passage has a hinged door with cut-out recessed panel and an authentic lock in mint condition. operation with entry and key. These elements rest on a projecting molded base. The desk cylinder has round brass knobs. The belt offers a drawer with a knockout front allowing, once opened, to obtain clearance for sitting. This drawer, equipped with an authentic lock with entry and key, reveals three hatches, mounted on hinges, with a miter-cut frame covered in green leather with gold vignette, and for the largest, a central motif. In addition to offering three reserves, the central part allows, once raised, to form a desk using a system on racks. The interior is decorated, on each side, with 4 drawers in speckled Maple with turned rosewood buttons and a paper reserve topped with 4 mail compartments. The bookcase part of this piece of furniture, highlighted by an intermediate molding, consists of 2 doors, with rounded corners, flanked by windows with basket-handle interior moldings. These doors include an original lock that is also functional with threaded entry and rear key. The interior offers 3 adjustable shelves mounted on racks. The cornice is made of ogee.
