Rotating cigar holder, Japan, Meji era (1868-1912). 4 albumen prints, 11 x 5 cm format, of Japanese women. Circa 1870. By pressing the button on the top of the box, a mechanism makes the four albumen prints disappear to present four cigar holders. The box is made of black lacquered wood, painted with mother-of-pearl inlay. Mid-19th century. Albumen print format: 11 x 5 cm. Box height: 34 cm. Base diameter: 17 cm. Link to our website:
