Elegant pair of wall-mounted pedestals crafted in fine polychrome marble, dating to the 19th century. The tapering structure, designed to rest against a wall, features yellow antique marble surfaces and panels in rare Egyptian red porphyry, a material historically associated with imperial power. The top and bottom sections, carved in pure white Carrara marble, are adorned with classical moldings, evoking neoclassical architectural language.
These architectural elements, typical of aristocratic interiors and 19th-century galleries, were intended to support busts, vases, or sculptures, while offering a refined contrast between sober geometry and sumptuous materials.
