Original unsigned color etching on Japanese paper (sheet size: 277 x 225 mm), depicting a nude blonde woman, hiding her face with her arms.
Presented under a cream mat 400 x 300 mm ready to be framed, the view being protected by a Rhodoid.
Very good condition.
This very beautiful etching by Louis Icart (1888-1950) is from the book "The Life of Breasts" by Doctor Jacobus [Jacques Brededin, under the pseudonym of], Paris, Georges Guillot, 1945. This edition, illustrated with 15 original etchings outside the text, was printed in 200 copies (10 on Japanese super nacre, 60 on Japanese including 10 artist's paper and 130 on Arches).
We found one of the 10 artist's copies on Japanese paper, unfortunately incomplete with an etching, hence the sale of this print individually (it is not in our ethics to "break" a work when it is complete!)
