Albert Monier, born on May 3 1915 in Savignat (Cantal) and died December 21, 1998 in Paris, was a humanist photographer who remained little-known in France for a long time. international renown thanks to his artistic black-and-white postcards of Paris. In addition to the capital, a large part of his work Morocco, where he lived, and his native Auvergne. Most of the photos are reproduced in the book Paris, preface by Henri Pourrat, Chanterelle-Cantal, L.P.A.M., 1954.
