Round-bodied lock with espalet hammer in perfect working order, engraved Manuf Imple de St Etienne in English letters, hallmarked with the S in a diamond of the controller of the locks Stelen at this post from 1811 to 1821. All the screws are numbered 2, as are the parts of the lock.
Breech tail engraved M AN13. Barrel with thunder face, hallmarked on the right face, with the starred P of Louis Préau, inspector of the manufacture from 1811 to 1816. At the front of the light appear the letters EF for French Empire. The left side of the barrel is dated B1813, the B corresponding to the second inspector Bonnard present from the year XIII to 1821. The underside of the barrel has multiple proof marks. T
he stock bears the reception mark of the inspector PC 1813. All the fittings bear the star D mark in an oval. On the rear of the counter-plate the butt has stamped his name "J.RETR???".
