Pair of low-bellied vases, on a black and brown lacquer base, they present, in places, bird and floral decorations in hira and taka maki-e gold and silver in nuno-me zô-gan (damascening) of very great finesse. Very good condition except for a small lack of silver near the base. Origin: Japan. Period: Meiji (1868-1912) early 20th century.
