The central body is decorated with the figure of Erato (muse of Lyric poetry) playing the lyre, half-naked, draped in a light fabric, her head wrapped in a helmet and sitting on a stone
the 12 silver-gilt spoons are held by a double hoop of rings engraved with water leaves. Above, a rounded and removable lid is decorated with friezes in the shape of a shield. Each frieze presents a different species of leaf. The lid ends with a fretel presenting a majestic peacock, symbol of peace, harmony and prosperity.
