"An English Silver And Enamel Powder Compact And Bottle"
A small, circular silver perfume bottle and its powder compact with its hinged lid. Engine-turned work enhanced with white enamel on both sides. The rim features champlevé enamel work, more precisely "low-cut enamel" which modifies the metal plate by chiseling at the place where one wishes to apply the translucent enamel, which in the case of this bottle is mauve in color. Pearly central rosette. Interior of the compact in vermeil.
