Girl's day bodice in pink-edged silk taffeta with bourgeois accents and dating from the end of the Louis-Philippe period. The silk fabric has a twill background, brocaded with bouquets of pink and white flowers. Fitted bodice with a small V-neckline with a pointed finish on the front and highlighted with a double row of red and white fringes. Long puffed sleeves, pleated and smocked at the shoulders and wrists. Back closure with period hooks and ecru cotton lining with an inner belt (stains and micro-soiling on the lining). Beautiful single and double piping seam finishes. No defects to report apart from two missing hooks. Good condition of color and preservation.
Dimensions: Equivalent to a 10-12 year old girl. Height 25 cm, shoulders 32 cm, chest 66 cm, waist 61 cm, sleeves 47 cm.
