The pins consist of a slightly concave guilloché disc with a magnificent decoration of bows holding bouquets of flowers, covered with translucent purple enamel.
A white enamel border outlines the edges of the pins.
All silver parts are gilt-gilt.
The pin stems are metal.
Each disc is hallmarked:
. Minerva, 1st standard, before 1973 for 950/°° silver.
. Silversmith's mark: GB with a fleur-de-lis, for Gaston Bardiès, active from 1897 to 1914.
A magnificent and rare pair of hat pins. Such guilloché and enameled examples are very rare and make superb fashion accessories.
