"Lime Gourd, Papua New Guinea "
This gourd, formerly used to hold lime, is made from an engraved and polished coconut shell. The white lime, applied in the engravings, reveals the geometric patterns. A stopper, ingeniously woven from yellow orchid fibres and brown plants, encloses the substance.
