Pair of 9-arm gilt bronze sconces with Rocaille-style decoration. These sconces are scrolled. They are composed of curves and counter-curves, decorated with acanthus leaf and volute motifs. Under Louis XV, bronze allowed for great imagination in rocaille ornaments, emphasizing the movement of the compositions. These sconces echo the finesse of bronze chiseling under Louis XV. In the style of Jacques Caffieri (1678-1755).
