"Pair Of Wall Sconces From The Louis XV Period"
A large pair of Louis XV period gilt bronze wall sconces, a very fine three-light model in the Rococo style. The arms extending forward are also decorated at the back; they are fixed with bronze rivets. The bobeches are mounted in shell shapes (cast in two parts). A wrought iron element at the bottom suggests they were originally set in a base; it can be removed, but I've left it as part of their history.
