Louis XV Period Flat Desk In Violet Wood Veneer, Circa 1750
A small, flat desk veneered in kingwood with a frieze pattern, opening with three drawers in the front. The top is covered in leather (a later addition, but original). It rests on four finely cabriole legs ending in gilt bronze sabots. It features a shaped apron highlighted by a beautiful molding (superb quality) encircling the top. The corner mounts and sabots are in chased and gilt bronze. Louis XV period. Circa 1750. Height: 71 cm - Width: 99 cm - Depth: 52 cm. Restored in our workshop, French polished, excellent condition.
