Clock Stil Louis XV In Gilded Bronze Watchmaker: Vincenti 1855

Louis XV style clock on its solid base, from the Napoleon III period. Signed on the mechanism plate "Médaille d'argent, Vincenti et Cie 1855", corresponding to the date this series of mechanisms began production. Referenced in the Tardy dictionary of French clockmakers.

Excellent quality gilt bronze construction, with a lively shape featuring graceful curves and counter-curves, finely ornamented with flowers and foliage. The sides, including the front, feature openwork geometric patterns framing the large, domed white enamel dial with blue numerals, accompanied by finely crafted gilt hands.

Original, unmodified mechanism, striking the hours and half-hours on an antique bell.
