The dynamic, asymmetrical structure is composed of volutes, scrolls and rocaille motifs, surrounding a heart-shaped central heraldic emblem. Within the cartouche stands a crowned figure, possibly a prince, holding a sceptre and set atop a crenellated tower — a symbol whose exact origin remains to be determined.
The central mirror has been replaced with a modern antique-style glass. On the back, the original hanging hook is still present, and support elements were later added to the lower section. Some areas of the lacquer appear to have been touched up, while the gilding seems mostly original.
