This chest of drawers is first of all, signed by 2 very big names in French cabinetmaking from the second half of the 18th century. The use of exotic woods (amaranth, rosewood, boxwood, sycamore), engraved and stained woods (green stained sycamore) is then a second indication of the quality of the furniture. Finally, the quality of the marquetry with landscapes of ancient ruins, temples, colonnades associated with the quality of the bronze gives the whole a perfect harmony and gives this piece of furniture a high level dimension.
