Miniature Portrait Of An Elegant Man Circa 1830 Dandy 19th Century
Very fine miniature depicting an elegant man, which I would date to around 1830.
The man's face and hair are particularly well executed.
The artwork is in very good condition; the spots visible in the photos are on the (convex) glass protecting the miniature.
I have not opened it to clean it, so I do not know what the support of the miniature is, but I believe it to be a bone plaque.
The miniature is sold with its slightly curved, blackened wooden frame. The frame shows some chipping (see photos).
