Pewter wine pitcher in a truncated cone shape with a flared base, an S-shaped thumb rest with a molded crest and a flat handle. Ownership initials engraved on the lid accompanied by florets.
Hallmark of Jean Frédéric BORST received as master in 1731: three clovers / (I).FB. This master died in 1767
Control hallmark with the city's coat of arms.  Note here that Alsace at that time was not part of the Kingdom, the control hallmark is therefore different from that imposed by the edict of Louis XIV in 1691.
Rosy countermark of the creator of the mold on the inside bottom
