Biography
Domenico "Ico" Parisi (1916–1996) and Luisa Aiani Parisi (1913–1990) were a couple of Italian designers and architects active in post-war Italy.
Based in Como, they developed a varied production, ranging from interior architecture to furniture, always driven by a modernist and functional vision of design.
Trained in architecture, Ico Parisi first collaborated with Giuseppe Terragni, a figure of Italian rationalism, before founding with Luisa their own workshop, "La Ruota," in 1948.
Their furniture is distinguished by clear lines, attention to materials (wood, brass, glass), and understated elegance.
They collaborate with several major Italian design publishers, including Fratelli Reguitti, Cassina, and Singer & Sons.
Their work embodies the Italian modernist aesthetic of the 1950s and 1960s, combining architectural rigor and attention to detail.
