Bonheur du jour or tiered desk in inlaid wood depicting La Fontaine's fables,
- one tier offers 6 drawers inlaid with La Fontaine's fables.
- a drawer in the belt reveals a writing desk with its green leather,
- a curtain reveals six drawers inlaid with urn, cup, and flower decorations, resting on four legs joined by a shelf decorated with flowers.

The furniture is inlaid on all sides in rosewood, rosewood, amaranth, and stained boxwood. It presents some of the most famous fables by Jean de La Fontaine (1621-1695): - "The Crow and the Fox" on the central top, - "The Wolf and the Stork" on the right tier, - "The Miller, His Son, and the Donkey" on the central drawer of the tier. - "The Fox and the Stork" on the left drawer of the tier.

19th century, Transition style. Furniture in perfect condition, restored in our workshop. The marquetry work is incredible.
