German violin dating from the end of the 19th century, handmade. This is an "Italian" size for this violin with a two-part maple back with small waves measuring 353 mm. Red varnish degraded on a yellow-orange background. The spruce table with signs of use and aging from the period is colored by a yellow-orange varnish with touches of red. In addition, the luthier made black gradients in a sunburst style to imitate the consequences of rosin deposits. The arches are taken from the mass. The violin is in good condition without fractures. The fingerboard is made of ebony as well as the pegs which are recent. This instrument is ready for playing mounted with Corelli crystal strings with an ultra-light tailpiece with four incorporated fine tuners to facilitate precise tuning. The old bridge is signed Paul Jombar Paris. The scroll is elegant and well hollowed. Beautiful sound rich in harmonics
