Large Writing Case, Louis XIV Period, 14th-17th Century
Large Louis XIV period travel writing case in ebony veneer and wavy framing strips. The interior is decorated with amourette and violet wood marquetry with rosette motifs, with storage compartments for inkwells and pen tray. The case includes a paper storage drawer in the lower part throughout its depth. Restored by a professional cabinetmaker. Sold with its two keys opening the period locks.
