Writing case in blackened leather with geometric engraved decoration embellished with foliage; brass trim, presence of the key which closes the interior part and the box itself, lock in operation; interior with compartments for inkwell and talc reserve - 17th century period. The interior is interesting in view of its domino paper, ancestor of wallpaper, cover often used in publishing before binding.
