Titled Charles IX duelist by its creator Emmanuel Frémiet in 1879, this noble figure holds a sword against his chest and appears to be waiting for a confrontation with a belligerent expression. Gilt bronze statuette produced in the first part of the 20th century (1910/1920) by the Barbedienne foundry in Paris. Perfect condition (probably missing spurs), original gilding, sea green worked marble base, bronze counter base. Signature E Frémiet and foundry stamp. The height indicated includes the base.
