Louis XV Period Carved Walnut Fire Screen, 18th Century

Large walnut fire screen from the Louis XV period, 18th century.
This fire screen is a very decorative piece of furniture.
The walnut structure is worked in all directions: fretwork, shells, foliage scrolls, flowers, acanthus leaves.
Look carefully at the photos because this fire screen is very very nicely carved and the walnut is rather light in color with a very beautiful patina. The interior of the fire screen is lined with a pretty green damask silk, of course you can adjust the fire screen as you wish.
The silk on one of the two sides is damaged in several places.

This fire screen is very stable, the cabinetmaker took care to make very pretty shell feet with very prominent scrolls.
