Object description :

"Musician Cat With Mandolin - Vienna Bronze, Late 19th Century - Bergmann Workshop, "
Charming polychrome bronze sculpture, representing a musical cat with a mandolin, typical of Vienna productions.
Stamp of the Bergmann workshop (amphora B), famous for its expressive and delicately colored animal bronzes.

The head, originally articulated, is now removable – a remnant of a mechanism that is now inoperative.
The original polychromy shows signs of wear, authentic witnesses to the passage of time.

A collector's item full of character, at the crossroads of humor and decorative art.

Austrian work, Vienna towards the end of the 19th century.
