A bare-breasted princess, with a gold headdress and loincloth, with her child, prostrates herself at the feet of a man soberly dressed in purple, but with golden skin, in a palace setting. The gentle elegance of Thai civilization is felt in this page, discreetly enhanced with floral decorations in the background and foreground. The touches of gold leaf illuminate the painting, where a scene from the traditional history of this ancient country is played out. This painting was certainly made at least in the 19th century. A trace of folding in its center otherwise very good condition.
