"Pin Box, Ribbon Box... Louis XV"
Pin box, with ribbons of the L XV style, from the mid-18th century. Made of wood, gleaming red lacquer enhanced with gold and black decorations representing landscapes and buildings in Asian style, typical of a craze in the 18th century for "chinoiseries". Lid with ogee whose top is lined with a cushion covered in worn dark green velvet intended to receive pins. Hinges and lock entry in finely engraved brass. Knob for gripping the rear lid. Lock and key missing. Normal scattered wear, some insect bites now disappeared, minor defects, it is an object approximately 250 years old which has been used and remains very authentic. Note: essential item of the dressing table for the nobility of the 18th century. Delivery: 10€ for mainland France.
