Luxurious copper and brass bucket, England, 19th century. Beautiful copperware creation combining copper and brass. Truncated cone-shaped body and brass cap with its porcelain pull handle. Swinging brass handle with a central white porcelain handle held by two beautiful lanceolate plates. Circular base with three spherical feet fixed by screws (visible inside). The lid's fitting is perfect, the construction of the whole is remarkably masterful (brass closure brazing almost invisible). The body made of copper and brass has alternating horizontal bands, in reality only brass bands are applied to the copper body without the assembly being visible. This technical feat demonstrates the know-how of English coppersmiths renowned for this craft. Read an article from Proantic magazine on copperware: HERE. The bucket is probably lined inside. Slight scattered dents Very acceptable. Professional polishing. Delivery: €15 for mainland France. Other destinations: contact me.
