"Louis XV Inkwell"
Louis XV style inkwell, mid-18th century. Kidney-shaped wooden structure, inlaid with violet wood. Six receptacles: Removable inkwell Removable sandpit, screw-on lid, fully functional Removable wax bowl Two holes to hold the nibs and a curved slot on the front. All these elements were originally silver-plated, the silver plating remains on the recessed parts of the various receptacles. Push-button handle and ring equipped with a binet and its original removable cup. Three finely chiseled bronze feet with foliate decoration. French polish for the marquetry, still very shiny, very few losses. Good general condition and good stability. A beautiful authentic office object, perfectly original without any restoration.
