"Hand Fans / Screens"
Romantic hand-painted screens on the theme of Love painted in gouache on thin paper. The story is simple and eternal: A man and a woman answer each other between each screen through the intermediary of Cupid as a child and a dove; the charming gardener raises doves which he sends to coo with his beloved. The paper is stretched over a poly-lobed wire serving as a frame, each frame is fixed on a wooden rod turned and gilded by two metal butterflies, allowing to change the screen according to the mood or the season. Tiny small brown spots visible on each screen, low paper wear at the bottom of the screen very acceptable. Dimensions of a screen: 20cm X 23 cm. Amount of delivery: 10 € for mainland France.
