Zebrano Chest Of Drawers Published By “de Coene Frères”, Kortrijk, Belgium

Here is a rare three-drawer chest of drawers from De Coene Frères. This is the "Thérèse Mubangu" model. It is made of Zebrano and sycamore wood (for the interiors). It is fitted with polished solid brass handles. This piece of furniture was purchased in Belgium in 1952. We have the original invoice issued on September 1, 1952 in Verviers. It was part of a set of which we still have the psyche cabinet from the same series. This piece of furniture is structurally and functionally in perfect condition. The Zebrano wood has retained all its shine, satin varnished. The interior of the solid sycamore maple drawers is perfectly preserved and clean. The solid brass handles have been repolished. This piece of furniture is therefore in very good original condition (1952 all the same). Upon examination, we noticed only very slight wear to the varnish on the upper shelf of the chest of drawers, which is barely visible. Here is an elegant, listed piece of furniture, very practical and in a magnificent state of preservation for its 73 years. All offered at an attractive price.
